Leave at Junction
10, A1081, Luton and Luton Airport. Proceed along dual carriageway to first
roundabout. Go straight on towards signs for Luton Airport and Hitchin (A505).
Go down steep hill and at next roundabout keep heading towards Hitchin and
Luton Airport (A505). Go straight over the next roundabout, until you reach
another one approximately half a mile on. At this roundabout turn left towards
Hitchin (East Circular Road.) Go straight across at the next roundabout and
then turn right at the next one. About 30 yards along from this, as you are
about to leave Luton, avoid stretch of dual carriageway and turn left into road
marked “Stopsley Shopping Centre/Luton Regional Sports Centre.” After
approximately 800 yards, turn sharp left into St. Thomas’s Road (at Memorial.)
The Sports Centre is on the right, opposite entrance to Stopsley High School.
Approach Luton on A1081.
Turn left at roundabout by Wardown Park onto A505 link road and follow signs to
Hitchin until leaving Luton, as above.
Proceed towards
Luton following signs to Hitchin on A505 link road. Then follow as above.
As for M1 North
and South above.
Approach Luton on
A505 – dual carriageway, bear right at first roundabout into Stopsley Shopping
Centre and fork right at Memorial into St. Thomas’s Road. The Sports Centre is
on the right, opposite entrance to Stopsley High School.
Pass through
ticket barrier and turn right, over bridge, and up to Midland Road, cross road
to bus stop by shops/ Bus number 12 for Stopsley Memorial.
