Rule Review - Cancelled matches that can’t be rearranged.
Due to the recent bad weather, a number of matches have been cancelled. If these matches can’t be rescheduled, then we have rules in place to decide who will get the points and rubbers. This is copied from the Shires League Rules (number 29)
In the event of a cancellation where the League Secretary in conjunction with the Committee believes that neither side were to blame for the cancellation of the match, the mean average number of rubbers attained by each team will be calculated when all possible fixtures are completed. The team with the highest mean average will be the winner. The difference between the rubbers awarded will be equal to the difference in the mean averages.

U15 Nottinghamshire v Leicestershire has been changed a second time and will now take place on Sunday 28 03 2010 at Ravenshead, starting at 12 noon.
28 01 10
U17 Yorkshire 2 v Northumberland will now take place on 07 03 2010 at John Smeaton starting at 14:30. (2:30pm)
24 01 10
U15 Norfolk v Cambridgeshire match will now take place on Sunday 28 02 10 at Sewell Park starting at 12noon.
Latest News about the New Group Structure for 2010-2011.
The grouping committee sincerely hope that you are in full agreement with the proposals. It would be appreciated if league secretaries would discuss and ballot the members of their county for their opinions, letting me know if you accept or reject the proposals. If you are in general agreement with the proposals but have a concern about a specific issue, I should be grateful if you would put this in writing/email.
Unless there is considerable objection to specific aspects of the proposals, the proposals will be adopted for next season and they will NOT be voted on at the AGM.
Please forward your views, including your complete acceptance or rejection of the proposals before 31 01 2010.
